About alcohol in the Seychelles

Most of our tourists have already visited many places, in particular, the Maldives, Mauritius, the UAE - that is, some of the most popular holiday regions near to the Seychelles. And they know that there are nuances.
For example, religious: the Maldives is dominated by Islam, Mauritius by Hinduism.
But in Seychelles over 88% of the population professes Christianity, namely Catholicism. In second place Anglicans - 8%, and the remaining citizens peacefully coexist in Orthodoxy, Hinduism and Islam.
This leaves an imprint on a lot. If we go back to the issue of alcoholic beverages, we hasten to please: there are no restrictions on alcohol in the Seychelles. There is everything, in unlimited quantity in hotels, restaurants, cafes and in shops.

The bad news: after trying Takamaka at least once, the soul will forever be homesick and anxious about the fact that this rum is not on sale in your contry, for example. Some fly to Dubai or ask friends to take with them at least a small bottle on the way from these parts.
There are many kinds of "Takamaka". They will suit the taste of any connoisseur: like ladies who prefer a softer and more unusual taste, and gentlemen who want to taste real pirate rum.
As for the importation of alcohol into the Seychelles: one bottle of wine and two bottles of another liquor are allowed per adult. You can take with you something especially loved directly from the country of departure, if you do not want to buy bottles in duty-free during docking and then go with them before landing on the next plane. And you can walk around the airport in Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi and find something that we do not have on sale.
